Abstract: Assessment of the osteoporotic fracture risk factors is now become the recommendation when the usage of DXA is limited as the gold standard for diagnosis osteoporosis in Indonesia. WHO collaborating with centre for metabolic bone disease University of Sheffield have created a device count named FRAX ® tool. FRAX ® online-based tool is a device to calculate the osteoporotic fracture risk factors based on clinical risk factors that have been widely used. Calculation results in percentage of ten year probab ility of major osteoporotic fracture (proximal humerus, wrist, vertebrae) and femoral neck. Body mass index is one of the important risk factors for osteoporosis are also taken into account in the use FRAX® tool. To see the relationship between the body mass index (BMI) and osteoporosis fracture risk value based FRAX ® tool, researcher using Spearman correlative hypothesis test. The results of the 55 respondents stated that there is relationship between the BMI value and the risk of major osteoporotic fractures and femur based FRAX® calculation tool (p = 0.027; p = 0.000, r = 297; r = 0.467). These results have a negative correlation value means that the lower the value of a person's BMI, the greater the risk of fracture osteoporosis value.
