Abstract: The role ofIslamic higher education in harmonising religion and science is very important. UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, Jakarta as the first and biggest state Islamic university in Indonesia holds a very important role in this matter. It possesses a clear vision ofknowledge, religion (Islam), humanities and indigenity as well as the motto of "knowledge, piety and integrity." Thus, it is important to study the role of UrN Jakarta in depth. This study aims to highlight the role ofUIN SyarifHidayatullah in harmonising religion and science. The chapter is divided into five sections, namely the concept of harmonisation of religion and science, the role ofUIN Jakarta in the process of this harmonisation, the unique model ofthe harmonisation, the constraints faced in the implementation of the concept of harmonisation and the recommended solution
