Abstract: ABSTRACK Effect of Various Parameters on Yield of 188Re-DTPA Radiopharmaceutical Kit for Theraphy Kidney The use of 188Re rhenium) which produce from 188W/188 generator has been investigated for preparation of 188Re-DTPA (Diethilenetriaminepentaacetic acid) complex to treat kidney diseases. Stannous chloride was used as reducing agent for reduction of rhenium. This experiment was carried out to evaluate various parameters, which are involved for preparation 188Re-DTPA radiopharmaceutical kit. Different conditions for preparation of 188Re-DTPA, such as pH, reaction time, temperature, antioxidants concentration of DTPA, carrier-added rhenium and concentration of stannous chloride were all studied. Paper chromatography and thin layer chromatography were used for determining complex formation of 188Re-DTPA more than 95%. The stability of 188Re-DTPA complex was studied against pH change and dilution of saline. The stability of 188Re-DTPA complex was found to decrease at neutral and alkaline pH which dilution by saline. Key words: 188Re, Rhenium, DTPA, Kidney disease, diagnosis
