Abstract: The Aim this research is to analyze the effect of challenge based learning model towards students’ mathematical creative reasoning. This research was conducted at MTs Negeri 1 Tangerang Selatan on academic year 2017/2018. The Indicators of mathematical creative reasoning that measured are, (a) creativity, (b) plausibility and (c) anchoring. A quasi experiment with randomized post-test only control group design method was used. Sample consisted of two group with experiment group of 32 students and control group of 29 students selected by cluster random sampling technique. The findings showed the significant effect of challenge based learning model on creative reasoning measure by essay test. Based on result hypothesis testing with t-test at significant level of 5%, it was obtained that the significant level is 0,005<0,05 (specified significant level). It indicated that students’ mathematical creative reasoning which were taught by challenge based learning is higher than students’ mathematical creative reasoning of those which were taught by conventional model of learning
