|Abstract:||This study is aimed to find out the effectiveness of using miming game in understanding present continuous tense at the seventh grade of SMP Al-Fath Cirendeu. The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental research. The researcher used two classes of research, experiment class and control class. The samples of this research were the seventh grade students of SMP Al-Fath Cirendeu, VII-E as the experiment class and VII-A as the control class. The instrument used in this study was test. The researcher gave the pre-test and post-test. The technique used in collecting the data was quantitative data with t-test. The result of this study showed that the use of miming game in understanding present continuous tense was effective. It could be seen from the result of calculation that the students’ score in experiment class was higher than the students’ score in control class. The mean score of post-test in experiment class was 15.43. Meanwhile the mean score of post-test in control class was 9.81. Furthermore, based on the statistical calculation with the significance level of 5% and 1%, it showed that t-observation is higher than t-table that was 2.02<3.72>2.70. Therefore, it proved the alternative hypothesis, which stated that using miming game in understanding present continuous tense at the seventh grade students’ of SMP Al-Fath Cirendeu is effective.|
