Abstract: The aim of the research was to obtain empirical evidence of the effect of reciprocal teaching method and test anxiety on students’ reading comprehension of argumentative text at the twelfth grade of SMAN 1 Sukakarya-Bekasi in academic year 2016/2017. This research was used quantitative research which adopted a quasi-experimental, the design was used factorial design (treatment by level 2x2), the population of this research was 112 students, and it used cluster random sampling. Then the process of the data was analyzed by 2 ways ANOVA. The findings of this research were: (1) there was a significant difference of reading comprehension score between students who were taught by reciprocal teaching method and those who were taught by teacher centered method, (2) there was an interactional effect between teaching method and test anxiety on students’ reading comprehension, (3) there was a significant difference of reading comprehension score between student with low test anxiety level who were taught by reciprocal teaching method and those who were taught by teacher centered method, (4) there was a significant difference of reading comprehension score between student with high test anxiety level who were taught by reciprocal teaching method and those who were taught by teacher centered method. As the conclusions of the study are teaching English used reciprocal teaching method on students with high level anxiety, the lower of students’ reading comprehension score. On the other hands, teaching English used teacher centered method on students with high level anxiety, the higher of students’ reading comprehension score.
