|Abstract:||Crinum asiaticum L is a group of tropical and subtropical plants are scattered in many parts of the world, especially in Africa, Asia, Australia, America and Indonesia, known as Bakung putih. Based on the results of previous studies Crinum asiaticum ethanol extract has antibacterial activity against several bacteria that cause acne including Propionibacterium acnes, Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis. The method used in this experiment were isolation, purification, selection, characterization and examine their antibacterial activity of endophytic fungi. A total of 7 isolates of endophytic fungi were obtained from Crinum asiaticum leaf. Fermentation of endophytic fungi have done for 21 days with static methods. Gram-negative organisms (Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853) and Gram-positive organisms Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923, Bacillus subtilis ATCC 6633) were used as test organisms. The antibacterial activity of the extract (1mg/ml) was tested four standard strains of microorganisms by disc diffusion method and Chloramphenicol (30 μg/disc) as standard antibiotic disc. Antibacterial potentials was investigated by measuring the zone of inhibition produced after incubation at Mueller Hinton Agar (MHA). The highest antibacterial activities were showed by isolate DU.3B.2 and DU.2B.1 against bacteria Staphylococcus aureus that is respectively 9.20 mm and 9.10 mm.|
