Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model advance organizer terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa pada konsep protista. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 9 Kota Tangerang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 40 orang untuk kelas eksperimen dan 40 orang untuk kelas kontrol. Pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen berupa tes pilihan ganda dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t, data hasil perhitungan perbedaan rata-rata posttest kedua kelompok diperoleh nilai t-hitung sebesar 3,087, sedangkan t-tabel dengan taraf signifikansi 5% dan derajat kebebasan (df) = 78 sebesar 1,67, maka dapat dikatakan bahwa t-hitung > t-tabel yang berarti bahwa hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima dan hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dalam penggunaan model advance organizer terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa pada konsep protista. This research purposed to know the influence of using advance organizer model to students’ biology achievement in protists concept. This research had been carried out in SMAN 9 Tangerang. This research was used quasi experiment method with pretest-posttest control group design. The sample was taken by using cluster random sampling technique. The amount of research sample was 40 persons for the experiment class and 40 persons for the control class. The data was taken by using multiple choice test instrument and questionnaire instrument. The data analysis was used t-test, from the result of calculating mean differentiation of posttest both groups, obtained the value of t-count was equal to 3,087, while t-table at the level of significant 5% with degree of freedom (df) = 78 that was equal to 1,67. So, it can be said that t-count > t-table that means the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the zero hypothesis (H0) was refused. It showed that there was influence of using advance organizer model to students’ biology achievement in protists concept. Keywords: Teaching model, advance organizer, biology achievement.
