Abstract: Doped LaMnO3 has unusual electromagnetic properties, which makes it possible for this material to be used for absorbing microwave. In this work, La0.67Ba0.33Mn1-yNiy/2Tiy/2O3 (y = 0.02, 0.04, and 0.06) were prepared by solid state reaction method as microwave absorption material. Stoichiometric quantities of analytical-grade La2O3, BaCO3, MnCO3, NiO, and TiO2 precursors with a purity of greater than 99% were mixed and milled using a Planetary Ball Milling during 40 hours, then calcined at 900oC for 10 hours, compacted, and continued with process of sintering temperature of 1200oC for 10 hours. The crystal structure and magnetic properties were characterized by XRD and permagraph respectively. The refinement results of X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern showed that the samples are single phase with monoclinic structure. The hysteresis loops showed that the La0.67Ba0.33Mn1-yNiy/2Tiy/2O3 samples are soft magnetic materials. Microwave absorption properties were investigated in the frequency range 8-12 GHz using vector network analyzer (VNA). An optimal reflection loss of -14.30 dB is reached at 11.28 GHz for y = 0.06 sample.
